I love Photoshop, but there are some times where I can't be around it. I'm curious as to what people use when Photoshop isn't an option. I've heard of GIMP and Paint.net which I haven't had much time to dabble with, and pixlr.com is my Photoshop away from home and is a brilliant substitute.

After using Flash CS5 for a wee bit, I've decided that I like Flash 8 more. Here's why. 1. I hate the interface in Flash CS5. It annoys me. 2. The fact that I can't start a new blank flash file without going through templates or starting a flash project pisses me off. 3. They removed the ability to export Adobe Illustrator files... WHY!!! It's not like Adobe compete with the makers of Flash, considering they bought them out! 4. Shit just feels messy in CS5. Does anyone else who follows me use Flash? What's your thoughts on CS5? Personally, I am reverting back to 8. The rest of CS5 is great! I love it! It's just Flash that's grinding my

This mainly concerns the Photography aspect of art. Now I ask this because every time I log on to DeviantArt, the front page is littered with teenage girls taking Myspace style photos of themselves... Is that art? Can taking a photo of yourself in the mirror really be considered art? Is holding a camera above your head while pulling a peace symbol and poking your tongue out really art? I personally consider it clutter. It should be kept to Myspace...
